Joy Of Life

Here is my new post........ Joy Of Life!!

Today, in our busy lives, many times we feel to go far away from our daily routine life and have some relaxing and calm moments. We experience some type of Joy, some type of Calmness in such moments. I experienced such Joy, such Calmness recently during my short picnic.

I experienced the Joy in watching and walking on such clean and empty roads in the early morning.

I experienced the Joy in watching birds flying in the Dawn.

I experienced the Joy in watching rising Sun behind the trees.

I experienced the Joy in having drinks while relaxing at Pool Side. :)

I experienced the Joy in watching people enjoying the flight with Sky above and Sea below.

I experienced the Joy watching someone trying to go far in the Sea.

I experienced Joy in watching children busy in their Play below the settling Sun.

I experienced the Calmness looking at the settling Sun far in the sea..

I experienced the Calmness in watching ships coming back when the Sun is going down.

And of course, I felt a joy in capturing all these moments :).
These all joyful and calm events really brought back some deep thoughts in my heart :).
I cherish such small moments of Joy and Calmness in my Life.
These are really some nice events in my life at the end of the year.

WISH YOU A VERY HAPPY AND PROSPEROUS
NEW YEAR!!!!

Hope you enjoy such beautiful moments in your life in coming year.

As always, looking forward for your comments :)

Portraits

I have captured some Portraits during last few days. Sharing the same here through my post....... Portraits....

Catching the good photos of small children is really a fun.... Different kids have different reactions while clicking the photos.....

Ofcourse, if you want to click good photographs of kids, firstly they should become very friendly with you and then only they will face the camera...

This is my nephew Hrishikesh.

We call him Rishi. Me and my cousin brother can't meet frequently as we are staying far from each other. So of course, last time when I met Rishi, he didn't recognize me. But when I spent almost one day with him, he became very friendly and was back in his original mood.:)

I really had a great time with Rishi :-). Waiting for our next meet...

This is Aryan. He stays in our neighborhood at my hometown. As I don't stay at my hometown, so obviously when I go home, Aryan doesn't recognize me. But now I know his weakness..... Camera...

Last time I visited my home, I carried my Camera with me. And when I wanted to click some photos of Aryan, to my surprise, he was ready with different poses to get clicked. Rather than I telling him the poses, he asked me to click his photos in some of his favorite poses. :)

And this is Aayush, with Aryan. They are cousine brothers. When they are together, they fight a lot. And when they are not with each other, they always want to be togeter :).

So now enough about the kids....

Here are some pictures of my elder sister Kanchan. These are clicked with very small Lighting arrangements, I can say a simple table Lamp.

Capturing the portraits of grown up people is also a fun..... You need to be very patient to get them to their natural expressions. Because as a human tendancy, we get very cautious while facing the Camera. :)

So here are some pictures of Kanchan tai with her natural expressions and natural Smile. :).

So hope you liked all the pictures.
As always, waiting for your feedback :).......

Lights

Here is my new blog.... Lights!!!!

So today is a festival of Lights, DIWALI...
Let me first wish you a very very very HAPPY DIWALI... :)
Hope you all are celebrating this festival of Lights with great joy and enthusiasm. Keep it up. :)

Hmmm.... So this festival of Lights has provided me an opportunity to click some snaps. And after clicking these snaps, I once again realized that Photography is not at all easy thing to do. But if something is your hobby, then you don't think if that thing is easy or difficult. You just do it :).

Now this festival of Lights provided me an opportunity to catch the Crackers in one frame. And I tell you, I am not able to catch a single cracker properly. Still I want to share my efforts with you. Catching the crackers in a single frame requires the great timing. And not only that, as it is not a steady thing, you need to have great patience to wait for that exact moment.

Till now, after looking at some of these first 2-3 photographs, you should have a fair idea of what I am talking about :).

Meanwhile, at every Diwali, when I look around, I feel that this festival of Lights is loosing its importance every year. The Diwali before 15 years and the Diwali now definitely have great differences. Many of you may also have this feeling.

When I try to find the reasons, the few things which come to my mind are:

*  Before 15 years, at every Diwali, there was a fascination of new cloths, sweets, crackers etc etc. The fascination of these things was there, because these things didn't use to happen so frequently in a year. But now, if you see, these things happen frequently. People go for shopping frequently, people eat sweets frequently, people play crackers even if India wins a cricket match :).

* The second reason I find is the speed with which the world is changing. And in turn, the competition is increasing. And in turn, the people are running to stay in this competition. Today is an era of 24X7 work. And we need to work 24X7, so what even if we have to miss the biggest festival of year. Today, most of the people are staying away from their homes for earning their bread and butter. I have many examples in front of me, who don't get leaves to go to their homes to celebrate this festival. (Fortunately, I didn't face this situation yet :)). [Please don't take this as a negative thing. One should compete and compete hard..to win. I am doing the same thing :)]

The above thoughts are mine only and I know are very immature. I don't know till what extent those are correct or wrong. Because people elder than me may have different thoughts and small children may have different thoughts. Again, there are people in this world, who don't shop frequently, or don't eat sweets frequently, or don't play crackers frequently. Some people even have to struggle for Do Waqt Ki Roti. Such people may even have some different thoughts. Husshhhhhhhhh................

Now you must be getting bored with these so called THOUGHTS. :)

So let's come back to our original point, Photography. By this time, you must have realized that I become somewhat better with catching these crackers in a frame.

While doing the night photography, I always find a need of Tripod, which I don't have yet :(. But will buy soon :).

So will just say that keep the culture alive. Remember that Diwali is of 5 days - Dhanatrayodashi, Narak Chaturdashi, Bali Pratipada, Laxmi Pujan and Bhau Bij (All are marathi names of the Diwali days). And don't forget to celebrate these 5 days with joy and entusiasm.

Keep the Light Alive in yourself :).

Once again WISHING YOU A VERY HAPPY DIWALI !!!!

As always, don't forget to put your comments :).

Colors

Here is my new post............ COLORS.

Colors play a very important role in photography. Photos with good and vivid colors always look attractive. So on this weekend, I got a chance to take such shots..... with varying, a lot of attractive colors.

These are some Panatis (Clay lamps) colored by my elder sister Kanchan.
Now if I want to tell something about her, then you will never find her taking rest or sitting idle. She always keeps learning or doing something new. So this time, she has decided to make designer Panatis.

As far as my understanding, designing such Panatis is not at all an easy job. It starts from choosing and buying raw panatis with different shapes from market. Then give a lot of thoughts to color combinations. And then doing actual painting.

So taking care of all her responsibilities at home as a good mother and wife, such a job is not at all easy for  a married woman like her.
And she is not going to stop here. She is even thinking of displaying her work in a small exhibition.

As an appreciation to her hard work, I felt to display  her work here in my post.

And of course, for any photographer, who always keeps hunting for good shots, this was a real treat.

So these are some simple and nice photos, with a lot of COLORS in them, shot with the help of a very small lighting arrangement.

I hope you people like these photos, and more than that the designer Panatis made by Kanchan tai.

Great Job Tai !!!! Keep it up !!!!!!

As always, I am waiting for your comments :)
Keep visiting...
Will be back soon....

Starting Photography

Photography is my hobby. I don't know exactly from when, but good photographs always used to fascinate me. And that lead me to start learning photography using my Canon SX100 Camera. Also learning something always needs an inspiration. And my inspiration is one of my friend Bimal who is a photograph enthusiast.
The one rule I am going to stick to while publishing the photos is
"I will be publishing only original photos from my camera and not the edited ones(except adding my name to photos :) )".

So here are some of the first good shots during my learning activity.

My First Lighting Arrangement :

Here are some snaps with my first lighting arrangement done with the help of one small battery torch and my bro Vipul, who is my first model of my photo shoot :)

Playing with a focus:
Below is a photograph in which I am trying to play with Manual focus.

Aperture:

Below are 2 photographs in which I am trying to play with Aperture. For both of these photographs, aperture value is small.
In this photo, the front objects are blurred and the object at back is in focus.

In this photo, the middle object is in focus while front and back objects are blurred.

Magic of lights again:

Below are 2 photographs taken using whatever lights are available at home.
If some one would have been there in these photographs, it would have been good portraits. I will try to convince some one next time for my photos :).

Will be back soon with other photos.
Thanks for viewing..... :)
